Proposal for Apostle Cup

To improve the Apostle Cup, Eric has made some suggestions on how we try to ensure that everyone plays at least once with everyone else. His suggestions are as follows:

  1. In any year, for the 1st 25 weeks we select partners in the same manner as previously - by drawing cards.
  2. When a player has played 25 times, he or she is qualified (as for the Annual Cup).
  3. A qualified player (or players) go into the draw with only those players that they have not played with.
  4. For ease on any night, perhaps only one qualified player has a partner selected in this way.
  5. Where there is more than one qualified player selection of which qualified player is determined as the player who as played with the least number of partners.
  6. After this pair are selected (as Pair 1), the remaining players are paired up as normal.

To ease confusion on the evening, Eric suggests the pairing can be organised by someone other than Lesley, and he has volunteered.
